• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Florida's Government-in-the-Sunshine laws is a bonus.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and web content management systems.
• Understanding of or willingness to learn Florida's Government-in-the-Sunshine laws.
• Familiarity with local and statewide affairs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit press releases, newsletters, social media posts, and other communications materials.
• Serve as Deputy PIO, supporting incident communications and crisis response.
• Manage media inquiries, schedule interviews, and build press relationships.
• Create and monitor content across social platforms, tracking analytics to measure success.
• Collaborate on exciting events with the Strategic Events Team to boost visibility.
• Develop internal communications to keep the community informed and inspired.
• Track media coverage and report key insights to senior leadership.
