Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (PN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
• Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Required Work Experience: No prior work experience required.
• Psychiatric Assistants who work in any of the Behavioral Health units are required to perform safety rounds on all assigned patients every 15 minutes and to record activities/locations of patients on the assigned rounding sheet upon the completion of each 15 minute rounding session.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
