About The Position

Our Property Management company is seeking a talented Assistant Property Manager with apartment industry experience. In this integral role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient accounting operations of the property. Key areas include accounting, unit reporting, rent reporting and collections, and other supportive management functions. This position also assists with leasing, resident services, cultivating positive resident relations, and resident retention.

Requirements

• At least two years of relevant experience in property management is required
• Tax credit/affordable housing is preferred
• Yardi software and Microsoft Excel experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign service requests, make-ready priorities, and repair projects
• Create an atmosphere of cooperation, enthusiasm, service urgency, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and professionalism among staff members
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reporting as required for the property, which includes accounts receivables
• Review and follow up on aged receivables - post late fees and notices
• Control and maintain petty cash funds
• Adhere to management company personnel and operations policy and procedures and compliance with company standards
• Complete annual recertifications and new tax-credit/PSH move-ins
• Maintain resident relations and resolve residents' concerns in a professional, timely manner
• Ensure late notices are delivered to the appropriate resident; prepare legal action for eviction when necessary
• Complete proper move-in/move-out functions in Yardi
• Responsible for daily property walk-throughs to ensure the building and grounds are well-maintained
• Promote and implement an effective Resident Retention program
• Notify residents of upcoming community activities, regular resident recognition, follow-up on service requests, and continual promotion of resident services
• Perform annual inspections of each unit
• Perform other duties as assigned
