About The Position

The Assistant Property Manager will support the daily operations of apartment communities, ensuring tenant satisfaction and property functionality. This role involves overseeing leasing processes, resident relations, maintenance, and administrative tasks, while also supervising maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders and requests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in property management, preferably in apartment communities.
• Strong knowledge of property management principles and fair housing regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve conflicts.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Zillow, LoopNet, Co-Star).
• Experience in supervising maintenance staff or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily operations of apartment communities.
• Manage leasing processes including marketing, applicant screenings, and lease signings.
• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents.
• Assist with rent collection and financial reporting.
• Participate in past-due account collection through communication with tenants.
• Conduct property tours and close leases effectively.
• Address tenant concerns and provide accurate information.
• Perform daily filing and administrative tasks.
