About The Position

This is a part-time Assistant Property Manager position for an 82-unit, 100% Tax Credit property built in 2023. The units are all studios and include 27 Project Based Vouchers through the County of Santa Clara for Permanent Supportive Housing. Charities Housing's mission is to develop, own, and manage high-quality affordable housing for extremely low and very low-income individuals, families, and those with special needs. Requirements

  • Prior property management experience
  • Ability to keep accurate records
  • Demonstrate supervisor qualities
  • Enjoy working with others
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year experience in performing on-site property management and administrative duties as a Property Manager and/or Assistant Property Manager; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Permanent Supportive Housing or similar populations
  • Bilingual
  • TCAC experience

Responsibilities

  • Support the Property Manager within the performance guidelines set for the individual property
  • Handle intake interviews for initial and annual certifications
  • Track and fill vacant units
  • Track unit make ready times
  • Track work orders / case management requests
  • Track delinquencies
  • Take direction from Property Manager
  • Assist in, and conduct, initial and annual re-certification
  • Service residents' complaints and requests
  • Market and track vacancies
  • Conduct daily inspections of grounds and vacant units
  • Process tenant applications (Credit, landlord, income and criminal background check)
  • Maintain project files with daily filing in tenant, maintenance, vendor and project files
  • Conduct annual inspection of units
  • Schedule and follow up of resident maintenance requests
  • Enforce tenant rules and regulations
  • Assist in maintaining property files in compliance with the affordable housing programs applicable to the property
  • Perform other duties as assigned
