About The Position

The Assistant Property Manager at Silver Oak is a vital role that supports the Property Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a 406-unit multifamily tax credit development. This position is integral to maintaining a positive living environment for residents and ensuring the property operates efficiently. The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for co-workers, residents, and visitors, while also managing various administrative tasks related to property management. In this role, the Assistant Property Manager will oversee the property collection policy to minimize delinquency and enhance bad debt recovery. They will work closely with residents to improve retention rates and reduce turnover, which is essential for maintaining a stable community. The Assistant Property Manager will also assist in leasing apartments, renewing leases, and conducting welcome meetings for new tenants. The position requires a proactive approach to monitoring delinquency, where the Assistant Property Manager will pursue outstanding balances through various communication methods, including phone calls, emails, and personal visits. Additionally, they will ensure that all property activities are accurately recorded in the Onesite software and will be responsible for completing annual renewal paperwork with residents well in advance of renewal dates. The Assistant Property Manager will also handle resident complaints and disturbances, striving to resolve issues before they escalate to the Property Manager. Accurate record-keeping and reporting are crucial components of this role, ensuring that all documentation is maintained properly.
