The Assistant Property Manager – Portfolio Operations works with multiple Property Managers in the general administration of properties. This role will perform the administrative and accounting functions to ensure operational excellence within their portfolio. This role will require traveling to various properties to provide additional management office support as needed. Schedule Monday - Friday: 8:30AM - 5:00PM Hybrid position with 2 days in the corporate office. Onsite at properties as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years of property management or equivalent experience
  • Illinois leasing license, or ability to obtain, within 120 days from date of hire
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professional disposition while exercising judgment and discretion in work
  • Must be a self-starter and able to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to provide best in class resident experience
  • Must be in the Chicagoland area

Nice To Haves

  • Illinois Broker License preferred
  • Yardi experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for Property Manager with the creation of multiple financial reports throughout the month
  • Provide top-level customer service as required for all residents
  • Develop and maintain open lines of communication with all residents
  • Monitor and analyze property metrics through property management software reporting and delivering the appropriate feedback to the Property Manager
  • Maintain accurate resident records
  • Coordinate and track all resident-based receivables
  • Create resident communications
  • Maintain and supervise a lease renewal program following the properties and management company guidelines and goals
  • Adheres to all federal, state and local laws, as well as all policies and procedures contained in the manuals issued by Draper and Kramer, Incorporated or as otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to site employees
  • Serve as additional support and provide in-person coverage to management offices as needed
