The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. This role involves building and motivating high-performing teams to maximize the performance of the property. The Assistant Property Manager will assist the Property Manager with the overall operations, which includes maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, and more. In a fast-paced environment, the Assistant Property Manager ensures the smooth running of the community. They will provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction, increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. The role also involves completing lease and renewal paperwork to ensure compliance with company standards, tracking and evaluating advertising, and managing client traffic. The Assistant Property Manager will maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary, while also ensuring that all Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures are being followed. They will manage and maintain all aspects of the overall community budget and finances, working closely with leasing staff to ensure that leasing and marketing goals are being met. This position requires effective communication and customer service skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general office, bookkeeping, and sales skills.
