About The Position

The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Los Angeles invites applications for an Assistant Project Scientist. The laboratory is located within Neuroscience Research Building. This position will focus on developing novel, high throughput protocols for human brain organoid generation and on advanced computational modeling and analysis of organoid electrophysiologic data.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have an M.D or Ph.D. degree with several years of postdoctoral training in neuroscience and in human stem cell tissue culture, human brain organoid generation and biology, and electrophysiology.
  • The ideal applicant will have also have substantial experience in computational modeling, specifically in modeling biophysical properties of neural circuits, and in computational analysis of electrophysiologic datasets including multiphoton calcium imaging, multielectrode array, and extracellularly recorded local field potentials.
