Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering (civil) or construction management or equivalent degree
  • 1 - 2 years of experience involving permitting processing from the initial start of the application submittal, full-scope plan review of Engineering, Water Utilities, and Traffic Control Review, permit issuance, record keeping, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer skills
  • Proficient in reading and understanding contract documents, plans and specifications
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project or Primavera
  • Ability to work independently to achieve client goals

Responsibilities

  • You'll provide support to senior staff during all phases of a project or program, including pre-design, procurement, construction, and post-construction.
  • You'll be responsible for cost management, schedule management, quality control, and document control.
  • You'll assist with the development and monitoring of budgets and project schedules.
  • You'll assist in the procurement process and document controls process.
  • You'll participate in the review and evaluation of design documents and value engineering efforts.
  • You'll assist project management in observing and monitoring design and contractor teams to ensure the project is completed in alignment with established goals.
  • You'll assist in reviewing change orders.
  • You'll complete project progress reports as required.
  • You'll attend project site meetings and may prepare meeting minutes.
  • You'll assist in project close-out activities.
  • You'll perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
