About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in the execution of hotel renovation projects, ensuring tasks and responsibilities are completed efficiently and on time. Working under the Project Manager's supervision, the Assistant Project Manager aids in managing all phases of the project, from planning to execution. They assist with coordinating resources, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring that all project documentation is up-to-date and accurate. This role contributes to ensuring that projects are completed within budget, meeting quality standards, and allowing the Project Manager to focus on higher-level strategic planning and decision-making.

Nice To Haves

  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Additional coursework or certifications in Project Management or Construction Management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in the overall coordination of hotel renovation projects, ensuring that project schedules, resources, and documentation are well-managed.
  • Help ensure that all subcontractors and vendors are performing their duties according to the project timeline.
  • Ensure that project documentation is up-to-date, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Facilitate communication between the Project Manager, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of the project.
  • Help maintain project quality by ensuring that all work meets both company standards and client expectations.
  • Monitor progress at job sites, documenting issues, and escalating problems to the Project Manager as needed.
  • Assist with the creation and tracking of project budgets, ensuring that costs are managed efficiently and within budget.
  • Ensure that invoices and payment applications are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe and organized construction site in accordance with company and OSHA guidelines.
  • Help manage relationships with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and completion of work.
  • Resolve any issues related to subcontractors or vendors under the guidance of the Project Manager.
  • Support the Project Manager in maintaining positive relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project.
