About The Position

Colliers Engineering & Design, Inc. seeks an Assistant Project Mgr. to work in our Cary, NC office. Req. Bach. in Civ. Eng., NC PE license & 5 y. exp. as Civ. Eng. using AutoCAD & Civil 3D. The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager with technical and administrative direction, supervision of projects, aspects of project management, leadership, profitability, and client management for the project design team. Responsibilities include accountability to Project Manager in the areas of project management, financial performance, preparation of technical proposals and invoices, monitoring of project budgets, staff supervision, scheduling of key projects, and responsibility for the design tasks associated with civil engineering projects. The Assistant Project Manager will work within Autocad and alongside existing office staff and senior management to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
  • North Carolina PE license
  • Requires 5 y. exp. as a Civil Engineer using AutoCAD & Civil3D. Must include 3 y. exp. with Flow Master, Culvert Master, TR-20, and ArcGIS, as well as with performing project estimates & schedules. Must include 1 y. exp. with MicroStation, Storm Sewers, Hydroflow, Microsoft Excel, & GanttPro.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing civil engineering projects, including: Land Development Plan, Stormwater Management, Water and Sanitary Sewer, and Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Design. 40%
  • Managing multiple projects and workload with competing deadlines. 10%
  • Quality Control. 10%
  • Regulatory agency permitting. 10%
  • Proposal scope and budget preparation. 5%
  • Financial Management including invoice preparation and accounts receivable. 5%
  • Project Scheduling. 5%
  • Client management. 5%
  • Mentoring and training staff. 5%
  • Other project duties as assigned. 5%
