GFT is seeking a Assistant Project Manager to join our Asset Management group in Raleigh, NC! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Raleigh, NC office. These are exciting times at GFT Infrastructure, Inc! Our Asset Management & Resiliency team is looking for an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our team. Consider joining our team and contributing to our on-going success while setting the pace of your career APM report to Project/Program Managers and provides the administration and coordination of activities for the design, construction, or delivery of activities involved in all phases of assigned projects, from their initial conception through completion. What you bring to our firm: Ensures quality and high standards of performance and compliance to complete assigned projects, i mplement programs, deliver strategic initiatives, and facilitate organizational change. Makes decisions and takes action in a timely manner. Corrects mistakes and errors in assigned tasks, designs, or construction activities before they can be extensively incorporated into the project or as early in the applicable process as possible. Responsibilities are varied and include coordinative, problem solving, and managerial functions for these projects. Other responsibilities include: Provides ongoing interface with project managers, consultants, and the client on project issues Makes decisions on phasing and scheduling of projects. Prepares and/or ensures preparation of schedules for planning, design and construction. Monitors schedules and takes appropriate actions to ensure that project is completed on schedule and within approved cost limitations Participates in the development and issuance of project procedures and policies; reviews and makes recommendations on procedures and policies Ability to transition operational knowledge into technical process. Produce and analyze reports. Ability to understand and interpret multitude of organizations funding sources, how they are derived, and how they apply. Ability to discern and develop project milestones. Understand and establish project proposals. Ability to produce project scope. Manage subordinate employees. Provide training opportunities and mentorship. Focuses on quality and helps ensure QA/QC procedures are followed. Performs other related tasks What you bring to our firm: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, architecture or construction related field; and Eight (8) years of full-time experience as a technical specialist in one or more construction and design related fields; four (4) years must involve managing all phases of construction work of a on multiple contracts; or a comparable combination of education and experience. Shall have oral and written communication that is clear and concise. Understanding of contract documents such as specifications and drawings. The ability to address issues as they arise and solve problems. Must be organized and able to manage logistics of multiple projects concurrently. Keep abreast of trending technology. A drivers license valid in North Carolina; or Ability to hear normal conversation Ability to Lift/Carry - 20 to 50 pounds Ability to Stoop, Kneel, Crawl Ability to use/wear a respirator Able to travel out of town overnight. Ascend/descend ladders, scaffolding, etc. English language ability File, collate and tasks requiring manual dexterity Perform maintenance tasks requiring manual dexterity Read PC Screen Sitting - Extended periods of time Work outdoors in varying weather conditions (i.e. rain, snow, etc) Drug test may be required What we’d prefer for you to bring to our firm: Assistant Project management experience Compensation: The salary range for this role is $93,000- $140,000.
