About The Position

NHHRC, in partnership with Compunel, is seeking a Assistant Project Manager with strong technical editing expertise to support a fast-paced environment. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, ensure high-quality editorial standards, and adapt content for diverse audiences including consumer, business, academic, and government sectors.

Requirements

  • Proven technical editing skills
  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and time management abilities
  • Superior command of the English language, including grammar and usage
  • Experience editing for multiple writing styles (technical, creative, marketing)
  • Ability to shift focus quickly while maintaining consistent editing standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word
  • Advanced editing and formatting skills in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
  • Working knowledge of document accessibility standards
  • Experience managing multiple priorities with speed, accuracy, and sound judgment
  • Demonstrated integrity, strong work ethic, and intellectual curiosity
  • Technical background
  • Experience working with diverse audiences (consumer, business, academic, government)
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or related field and minimum of 3 years of relevant business experience OR Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with at least 5 years of directly relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Edit and review technical, creative, and marketing content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
  • Ensure all materials meet established editorial, technical, and brand standards
  • Adapt content for both expert and general audiences
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting varying deadlines
  • Interpret complex technical information and translate it into clear, compelling content
  • Apply style guidelines including AP Style and Chicago Manual of Style
  • Format and edit documents with accessibility best practices in mind
  • Maintain consistency through use of style sheets and editorial guidelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project deliverables
