About The Position

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment—where precision, service excellence, and a relentless eye for detail are non-negotiable. You’ll take direct ownership of complex, high-stakes projects—overseeing them hands-on from kickoff to completion. In this role, you'll actively lead and support your team, engage closely with clients, and manage tenant relationships on-site, ensuring every project meets our high standards. This Assistant Project Manager role requires the demonstrated ability to effectively supervise field teams and projects in person and travel as needed regionally both short- and long-term. This role is intended to be a full-time exempt position, based at the job site, and reports to a Division Manager.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience supporting construction crews, site operations, or project coordination
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Positive, proactive, and solutions oriented attitude
  • Basic computer skills: email, internet, Word, and Excel
  • Personal vehicle suitable for regular local and regional transport
  • Ability to travel frequently and relocate for short or long term projects
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry 25-50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • prior trades experience
  • advanced studies in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • certification, or be in the process of achieving, a related Professional Certification
  • be proficient in Spanish
  • prior related military or civil experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day oversight of job site activities
  • Help coordinate plumbing, carpentry, and drywall crews to meet quality and safety standards
  • Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and escalates concerns to the Project Manager
  • Support scheduling, material tracking, site logistics
  • Communicate professionally with residents and clients to resolve questions or concerns
  • Help prepare progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation
  • Transport materials between vendors and job sites as needed
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
