About The Position

The Assistant Electrical Service Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of electrical service projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract documents, codes, and company standards. This role serves as a key liaison connecting field operations, clients, vendors, and internal administrative teams.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have valid legal work status
  • Must pass pre-hire Drug & Alcohol screening and comply with company policy
  • Must have a satisfactory criminal background check
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain personal vehicle insurance
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software

  • Detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage multiple service projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate scheduling of technicians, materials, and subcontractors
  • Manage project progress and maintain accurate schedules, logs, and documentation
  • Review work orders, service tickets, and scopes for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with preparation of estimates, change orders, and service quotes
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing research
  • Maintain organized project files, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documents
  • Assist with contract review and help clarify scope
  • Monitor project budgets and cost codes
  • Track labor hours, material costs, and equipment expenses
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and job cost reporting
  • Identify cost overruns or discrepancies and report to Lead Project Manager
  • Serve as point of contact for routine customer inquiries.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Schedule site visits, inspections, and service calls.
  • Maintain professional client relationships.
  • Coordinate with field electricians and foremen to resolve technical and logistical issues
  • Help ensure jobsite compliance with safety standards and company policies
  • Conduct occasional site visits to verify progress and quality
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting or small service tasks as needed
  • Ensure projects meet applicable electrical codes, permits, and inspection requirements.
  • Support safety documentation, toolbox talks, and incident reporting.
  • Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance records.
