About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager at Hunt Electric Corporation plays a crucial role in the administration, planning, and execution of electrical construction projects in the Greater Twin Cities area. This position involves close collaboration with the Project Manager to supervise projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction while managing project economics effectively.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, construction management, similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • National Electrical Code knowledge.
  • Drawing/blueprint reading and specification experience.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet daily deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bluebeam and CAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in supervising the project through purchasing, engineering, subletting and installation.
  • Develop and maintain good customer relations.
  • Manage assigned projects as economically as possible while recognizing a company commitment to quality workmanship, positive industry image and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in preparing, processing and maintaining all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, billing, etc. necessary to perform the responsibilities of the contract.
  • Complete submittals and close outs for projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
