About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager for Furniture at Aleto, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting space planning, design, construction, and project closeout for furniture projects. This position involves managing the organization and installation of furniture projects, ensuring high levels of customer service, and coordinating with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires a hands-on approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with general contractors and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or three years of applicable professional experience in the contract furniture industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Microsoft Project, and PlanGrid.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience with risk management and project administration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IWMS software.
  • Familiarity with Primavera or equivalent ePM software.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for the customer and other applicable parties during the project process.
  • Establish clear and reasonable project expectations and deliverables for clients and project parties.
  • Develop plans, schedules, logistics, and deliveries that align with project parameters and client goals.
  • Foster quality interactions and coordination of work with third parties and the project team.
  • Provide updates and communication throughout the project to ensure all critical information is known by all parties.
  • Review plans, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and application.
  • Schedule and facilitate product delivery and installation, verifying progress and completion.
  • Identify, manage, and finalize the punch list with the Account Executive and client.
  • Maintain and track project revisions or modifications and ensure applicable parties are informed.
  • Complete project closeout and documentation.
  • Develop AutoCAD existing furniture and concept drawings and perform support functions as directed.
  • Develop project briefings and presentations for senior management.
  • Maintain and organize project files, invoices, estimates, and vendor information.
  • Investigate and resolve facility construction and renovation issues.
  • Capture action items for project management teams and disseminate meeting minutes.
