The Assistant Project Manager (APM) at Cupertino Electric, Inc. plays a crucial role in coordinating complex construction projects, particularly in the data center division. This position involves maintaining strong partnerships with vendors and subcontractors, assisting in project documentation, and facilitating team meetings. APMs are expected to learn and grow into Project Manager roles by engaging with the production team and managing project activities effectively.

  • Coordinate between the field team, project team, and customers.
  • Maintain working partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Assist in the review and tracking of project activities, including change orders and submittals.
  • Facilitate learning for team members and drive team meetings.
  • Direct the work of Project Engineers and Project Coordinators in partnership with the Project Manager.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience as a Project Engineer in electrical construction or MEP experience in general contracting.
  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience, including managing smaller projects.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Experience in managing larger projects.
  • Technical knowledge in electrical systems and construction processes.
