About The Position

Our Opportunity Energix Renewables is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of utility‑scale solar construction projects. In this role, you will help coordinate project activities across internal teams, contractors, inspectors, consultants, and local agencies to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will work closely with the Project Manager from permitting through construction, commissioning, closeout, and handover to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, organized construction professional to grow their career in renewable energy. Solar experience is not required — strong general construction experience is highly valued.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination; utility‑scale or civil construction experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with general contractors and understanding of construction processes.
  • Basic understanding of the project lifecycle; renewable energy or solar experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and support project deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) preferred.
  • Exposure to budgets, RFIs, submittals, or change orders is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders professionally.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, negotiating, and executing contractor and subcontractor agreements under the guidance of the Project Manager.
  • Support project budget management, cost tracking, invoicing, and financial documentation.
  • Aid in estimating activities, drawing takeoffs, subcontractor scopes, and procurement coordination.
  • Help coordinate day‑to‑day construction activities, including equipment, materials, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support clear, professional communication with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, consultants, and landowners.
  • Help identify and resolve drawing conflicts, RFIs, and constructability issues in collaboration with consultants and site teams.
  • Assist with project closeout activities, including commissioning, training, warranties, and O&M documentation.
  • Provide general support to the Project Manager and project team to ensure project objectives are met.
