About The Position
Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. in the Beaumont, TX area is offering challenging and exciting career opportunities for an Assistant Project Manager. We are seeking qualified candidates that are focused on project success and exceeding customer expectations. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all project activities are conducted safely and in accordance with the company's safety procedures. This role involves a variety of tasks including reviewing proposal specifications and project drawings, attending pre-bid meetings and site visits, and determining the scope of work and required contents of estimates. The successful candidate will prepare all phases of estimates, including take-offs and vendor packages, and establish a complete estimate utilizing HCSS Heavy Bid software. In addition to estimating, the Assistant Project Manager will establish a preliminary Critical Path Method (CPM) project schedule and maintain/update the project schedule after the award of the project. They will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining the job budget, correspondence, and job files for project records. The role requires interfacing with owners, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to provide engineering and cost analysis, as well as value engineering when applicable. Following and managing awarded projects, including extra work items, change orders, scheduling, material procurement, and cost and production tracking, is also a key responsibility of this position.
