About The Position

The Assistant Program Supervisor-Utilities is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of gas, water, and wastewater systems. Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, schedules, and coordinates activities related to gas, water, and wastewater systems.
  • Reviews plans for improvements and maintenance requests, providing technical support and assistance.
  • Coordinates, plans, and manages utility division maintenance tasks and activities.
  • Works collaboratively with other managers and supervisors to troubleshoot utility problems.
  • Oversees maintenance management documentation on equipment and reference manuals.
  • Meets regularly with staff to review work in progress and prioritize tasks.
  • Evaluates and analyzes functions and processes to identify issues and recommend improvements.
  • Interprets applicable rules and regulations to provide leadership and guidance.
  • Manages field staff through delegation and supervision to ensure service levels are met.
  • Coordinates and manages special and recurring projects, monitoring work and evaluating performance.
  • Participates in testing to validate the integrity of utility systems and identify leaks.
  • Monitors and coordinates the work of outside contractors on various projects.
  • Reviews project documentation for compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Collects and analyzes data to prepare and present reports related to assigned functions.
  • Manages financial activities of assigned budgets to ensure compliance and performance targets.
  • Advises departments and regulatory agencies regarding outages and emergent situations.
  • Performs safety training and testing for personnel.
  • Responds to and resolves complaints and inquiries.

  • Full-time position with a salary range of $55,994.12 - $79,830.92 per year.
