The Assistant Program Director provides, oversees, manages, and maintains overall program quality and best practices within the Therapeutic Mentor Programs. The Assistant Program Director supports the Program Director in developing the global expansion and clinical quality in meeting all standards and specifications of the programs.

  • Providing effective leadership and direction to the Therapeutic Mentor Program staff, Supervisors, and Team Leaders.
  • Facilitating staff and clinical team meetings.
  • Guiding and establishing clinical services, objectives, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Supporting the Program Director in developing the expansion and quality of the Therapeutic Mentor Program.
  • Assisting Program Director with marketing in the Community and surrounding school systems.
  • Working collaboratively with the Program Director to identify staffing needs, oversees recruitment, training, and qualifying of staff.
  • Assisting with the delivery of services through team development and ensuring implementation of lesson plans.
  • Providing effective ongoing evaluation of staff performance.
  • Providing consultation and clinical supervision to Therapeutic Mentor staff, education, and training to staff.
  • Responding to on-call needs of the programs as needed.
  • Responding to client/staff/provider's complaints and mediates as needed.
  • Minimum of five years' post-graduate experience providing behavioral health services to youth and families.
  • At least three years supervisory and/or management experience required.
  • Must be licensed at the independent practice level (LICSW, LMHC).
  • Must be certified in the Massachusetts CANS.
  • Must meet the credentialing criteria for master's level Clinicians as outlined in the MCE's most current Provider Manual for master's level Clinicians.
