We are looking for an Assistant Program Director -VN Program to join our team. This position will work with and functions under the supervision of the Campus Program Director of the Vocational Nursing Program. The Assistant Program Director will assist the Director with planning, developing, managing, updating and evaluating all aspects of the program. Responsibilities include preparing data and other written materials for all required state and Board requirements, reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visits. The role also involves identifying and obtaining outside resources for the nursing program, assessing the ability of the agency to provide clinical experience that meets the objectives for application of theory and clinical course objectives, and ensuring Facility Approval Applications are completed and approved prior to initiating clinical rotations. The Assistant Program Director will ensure that student theory and clinical evaluations are completed in a timely manner by assigned faculty, maintain evaluations by students, clinical sites representatives, and faculty at completion of each clinical rotation, and assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure quality of the program. Continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction, ensuring that clinical assignments, clinical rotation matrixes and calendars are completed in a timely manner, and ensuring that faculty consistently follow policies and guidelines related to student clinical rotation experience are also key responsibilities. The role includes reviewing student learning material on an ongoing basis, ensuring that student records are maintained according to policies, submitting required program reports and forms to the Director of the program in a timely manner, keeping current with new technologies and safety regulations, providing advising support and planning assistance to potential students, and ensuring that all students have completed the necessary documentation and meet the requirements for graduation and the state licensing exam. Additionally, the Assistant Program Director will teach (either theory or clinical) half of the time and perform other duties as assigned.
