About The Position

The Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences at Clemson University is seeking two tenure-track Assistant Professors specializing in Horticulture and Plant Pathology. These positions focus on small fruit crops, with a distribution of 75% research and 25% Extension responsibilities. The successful candidates will develop innovative research programs that address the needs of growers and stakeholders in South Carolina and the southeastern United States.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Horticulture, Plant Pathology, or a related field.
  • Strong background in horticulture or plant pathology.
  • Experience in grantsmanship and publishing research findings.

  • Mentor and train graduate students and postdocs.
  • Assist in teaching activities and communicate findings effectively with stakeholders.
