The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Washington State University invites applications for a permanent, full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Pullman, WA. We seek applicants with specialties in numerical analysis and scientific computing, with strong connections to machine learning and artificial intelligence. While all areas of expertise broadly within theoretical and applied areas of computational mathematics will be considered, preference may be given to applicants whose work bridges theory and applications in data analysis, discrete mathematics, linear algebra, or optimization, and they are especially encouraged to apply.
