About The Position

This is a full-time tenure track position. The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses in astronomy, physics, and/or physical science with particular emphasis on the ability to teach introductory level astronomy courses. Excellence in teaching is expected as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.

Requirements

• Applicants must have a PhD in astronomy or physics at time of hiring.
