About The Position

The School of Nursing, in the College of Health Professions invites applications for tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2023. The teaching responsibilities will include teaching and clinical instruction in the pre-licensure nursing program in the areas of fundamental, medical-surgical, and/or critical care nursing. The candidate will also be responsible for teaching campus skills labs and simulation labs. Other responsibilities include academic advising of students, participation in ongoing curriculum development and evaluation, professional development, and service to the school of nursing, college of the health of professions, and University through committee work and service. The department also seeks candidates who will contribute to the University’s general education curriculum with its emphasis on a common First Year Seminar and core curriculum courses that enhance students’ critical thinking, and the College’s support of the interdisciplinary program of study.
