About The Position

The appointment of Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery shall reflect UAMS’s prevailing pledge to promote academic excellence, provide patient care and promote the health & wellness of Arkansans. As an Assistant Professor, it is imperative to provide coordination, continuity, and consistency in patient care, community outreach, and medical education. Appointments may have a varied responsibility in the areas of patient care, medical education, and/or scholarly activities.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology, with eligibility for subspecialty certification in Neurotology.
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Arkansas.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care, duties consist of caring for patients in the clinic, inpatient and surgical setting.
  • Participation in medical education of various learners.
  • Other duties as assigned.
