About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh Physicians, Department of Family Medicine, is seeking a full-time Family Practice physician to join their faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor, outside of the tenure stream. The successful candidate will provide long-term comprehensive care for patients across all age groups, including babies, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Responsibilities include diagnosing a wide variety of illnesses affecting any body system, conducting patient examinations for injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, ordering necessary tests and follow-up visits, and referring patients to specialists as needed. The role also encompasses providing preventative care, such as regular age-appropriate testing and exams, and offering virtual care to patients using video visit technology when appropriate.

Requirements

• MD or DO license
• Family Practice physician

Responsibilities

• Provide long-term comprehensive care for babies, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
• Diagnose a wide variety of illnesses that can occur in any of the body systems.
• Examine patients to ensure proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
• Request necessary tests and follow-up visits.
• Refer patients to specialists as necessary.
• Provide preventative care for patients, including regular age-appropriate testing and exams as indicated.
• Provide virtual care for patients as appropriate, using video visit technology.
