Faculty are appointed in the COM, Department of Pathology at the rank commensurate with their training and experience.The appointment of Faculty on their specific Pathway is determined by the Division Director and the Chair and recommended through the JFR and appointment process. The Faculty are expected to promote academic excellence, provide patient care (when applicable), search for translational opportunities and promote the health & wellness of Arkansans. As a Faculty member, it is imperative to provide coordination, continuity, and consistency in patient care, community outreach, research and instruction. Incumbents must be highly skilled and knowledgeable in their particular fields and, where relevant, have specialized experience. Appointees should possess relevant degree or scholarly or professional credentials, which may vary by discipline and department. Appointments may have varied responsibility in the areas of patient care, medical education, and/or research. Duties may include but are not limited to direct patient care, medical teaching, and research collaborations. Additional duties will vary by position, discipline and division. Detailed information in regards to your FTE breakdown will be included in the offer letter presented by the division.
