About The Position
Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, full-time, 9-month, tenure track, beginning August 16, 2026. The Department of Psychology is within the College of Arts & Sciences. It houses 25 full time faculty members, over 800 undergraduates, and about 45 doctoral students in our Cognitive Science and Clinical Psychology Ph.D. programs. The new faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including courses in the specialty area of cognitive psychology/cognitive science. The successful applicants will maintain a program of scholarly research, apply for external funding, teach undergraduates and graduate courses, and supervise graduate students.
Requirements
- Applicants must have a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology or closely related field (e.g., cognitive science; cognitive neuroscience) by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including courses in the specialty area of cognitive psychology/cognitive science.
- Maintain a program of scholarly research
- Apply for external funding
- Supervise graduate students.
