About The Position

The School of Computing and Information Science (formerly Department of Information Technology) at Radford University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor Role. Duties: Teach undergraduate courses in the area of information technology. Courses may include (but are not limited to) Principles of Computer Science II, Cybersecurity, and Networking. In addition to these major teaching responsibilities, the Assistant Professor must also advise students, assist with departmental and university activities, serve on committees, and participate in scholarly research within the field. Located in southwestern Virginia, Radford University is a comprehensive, midsize public university that is student-focused, providing its approximately 8,990 students a diversity of outstanding academic programs. Requirements

  • Requirements for the position include the ability to teach a variety of coursework in our Computer Science, Information Systems, and Cybersecurity degree programs.
  • Successful applicants must have a terminal degree in the discipline

  • Preference will be given to candidates who can effectively teach in one or more of the following areas: software engineering, database, cybersecurity, and networks.
