The Department of Molecular Physiology & Biological Physics, at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking applicants for a position as Research Assistant Professor on the tenure ineligible track with a focus on studies of the role of stem cell antigen-1 and TGFb and selective anti-inflammatory agents on the development and late-stage pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. The ideal applicant will have doctoral- and post-doctoral level training in cell metabolism, immunology, pharmacology, physiology, genomic analyses, bioinformatics, and atherosclerosis. Applicants will be expected to pursue mentored opportunities to develop an eventual career as an independent investigator.
