About The Position

The College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences at Gannon University is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Theology or Philosophy to begin in August 2025. The role emphasizes excellence in teaching, scholarship, and mentorship of undergraduate students, particularly in the areas of Catholic Theology or Philosophy. The successful candidate will engage in foundational and integrative Theology courses and online courses in the master's program in Pastoral Theology, while also promoting social justice and diversity in higher education.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in Theology, Philosophy, or a related discipline (completed by time of appointment).
• Demonstrated teaching excellence in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Teach foundational and integrative Theology courses in the liberal core.
• Teach online courses in the master's program in Pastoral Theology.
