About The Position

The History Department of DePaul University invites applications for a US historian with expertise in Latinx history, Chicano history, or borderlands history for a tenure track position to begin September 2026. Responsibilities for this position include teaching American history, Latinx, borderlands, or Chicano history, and developing new courses in the candidate's area of specialty that will appeal to a broad set of DePaul students. The faculty will be expected to teach in the History Department, as well as the University's interdisciplinary programs like the Chicago Quarter, Honors, and the First Year Program. The ability to teach in Spanish or another language related to the candidate's research is a plus.
