The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an assistant professor for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Health Services Administration. The role focuses on Health Informatics with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, requiring expertise in data science, machine learning, and health information systems. The successful candidate will contribute to both the established Health Informatics programs and the newly formed Artificial Intelligence curriculum set to launch in Fall 2025.

  • Earned terminal degree in a relevant discipline.

  • Experience with clinical and administrative health information systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in teaching at the graduate level.
  • Familiarity with CAHIIM and CAHME accreditation processes.
  • Previous involvement in curriculum development.
