About The Position

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Department of MPCS invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Statistics/Data Science, intended to begin August 15, 2026. The American Association of University Professors serves as the collective bargaining agent for full-time faculty; see the Chapter's website for details of the bargaining agreement.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science or in a related field.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in either Statistics or Data Science or a combination of both.
• One (1) academic year of teaching experience in Statistics or Data Science at the college level as instructor of record.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of statistics, data science, and business analytics courses at the freshman and sophomore levels including but not limited to Introduction to Statistics, Elementary Statistics, and Business Analytics I & II.
• Utilize various teaching pedagogies in the classroom, and be flexible with the use of different modes of instruction (face-to-face, fully online, and hybrid).
• Participate in the governance and committee work of the Department, College, and University such as search committees, the Technology Committee, and the Faculty Senate Academic Affairs Committee.
• Engage in ongoing professional development in the discipline of Data Science/Statistics and/or the scholarship of teaching and learning.
• Hold regular office hours to meet with students.
