About The Position

The School Psychology Program at Texas Woman’s University invites applications for a tenure-track advanced Assistant or Associate rank position in our APA-accredited PhD and NASP-accredited Specialist (SSP) training programs, housed in the School of Social Work, Psychology, and Philosophy. We are seeking a new colleague who will teach, conduct research projects, and serve as an advisor within our Doctoral (APA-accredited and NASP-approved) and Specialist (NASP-accredited) programs. Our new colleague will have an established and growing program of research, as evidenced by a strong publication and presentation record. They will chair and serve on dissertation committees. Further, our new colleague will have an interest in program leadership duties, such as test library coordinator, practicum & internship coordinator, or program coordinator, that fit with their experience and expertise. Graduate teaching may be tailored to match applicants’ areas of specialization; however, ideal candidates will have an interest and expertise in our assessment sequence (e.g. cognitive, academic, neuropsychological, social-emotional) or our practice sequence (e.g., therapeutic and crisis intervention, behavioral interventions, multicultural psychology, practicum/internship). However, those with other research interests related to school psychology are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D.) in School Psychology from an APA-accredited Doctoral program
  • Licensed or license eligible as a psychologist and as a school psychologist in Texas
  • Established and growing program of research with a strong publication and presentation record
