About The Position

The University of Wisconsin - River Falls invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in School Counseling within the Counseling and School Psychology Department. This CACREP-accredited program educates school counselors only. Candidates for this position must hold a doctoral degree in Counselor Education or complete a degree in Counselor Education within 12 months of official start date and meet CACREP core faculty eligibility requirements. The successful candidate will (1) teach 3 school counseling graduate courses (9 credits) per semester, (2) maintain an advising caseload of graduate students, (3) conduct program-related applied research and scholarly activities, (4) supervise practicum and internship students, (5) engage in scholarly activities (e.g., research, professional presentation in conferences, participate in various counseling associations), and (6) be actively involved in departmental, college and university committees as well as in community service. Experience as a school counselor, teaching experience at the college level, and program leadership experience are preferred. The position is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position with an option for summer teaching. Preferred appointment date: Fall 2025.
