This is a non-tenure track, grant-funded position (100 % research; 0 % teaching). The successful candidate will support interdisciplinary research and community engagement efforts at the intersection of cryobiology, anthropology, and open science for aquatic species. This position includes key roles in repository development, technology outreach and public engagement, and will require a high level of enthusiasm and independence. Conduct research on community-based strategies for developing and maintaining cryopreserved germplasm repositories of aquatic species. Lead and contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives that integrate open-source technology, anthropology, and cryobiology. Manage community engagement and outreach programs and teams, including coordination of facility tours, events, and science communication. Prepare manuscripts, conference presentations, and workshops to disseminate program outcomes and promote repository adoption. Manage existing grants and actively engage in developing new grant proposals.
