Requirements

  • Earned a doctorate in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Proven teaching capabilities and commitment to research.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to develop industrial relations.
  • Strong commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Capability to teach Surveying, Construction Materials, Construction Graphics/BIM, Structural Behavior, and Project Management.

Nice To Haves

  • Evidence of successful teaching at the levels of undergraduate and graduate in both traditional and online class environments.
  • Demonstrated potential or ability to develop an active research program and secure external funding.
  • Three or more years of professional experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Teach students (both graduate and undergraduate) face-to-face in the classroom and online.
  • Publish in academic journals and attend academic conferences; conduct internally and externally funded research.
  • Display leadership and participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of college and department programs.
  • Participate in department, college, and university committees, and other activities associated with professional status.
  • Perform duties essential to the college and university mission; perform related duties essential to the university teaching profession.
