The Assistant Professor position at CT State Housatonic is a tenure track role requiring full-time commitment over a 10-month academic year, with a teaching load of 30 credit hours. The position is not remote and is expected to start in August 2025. Faculty members are responsible for preparing and teaching college-approved courses, developing syllabi, and maintaining course materials. They will also engage with students, peers, and external agencies, and perform departmental responsibilities as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The role includes teaching a range of courses, evaluating student learning, providing academic advising, and developing curriculum. The Assistant Professor will also serve as a Program Coordinator, responsible for recruiting and advising students, scheduling courses, and supervising faculty.
