About The Position

The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University seeks applications for a part-time Assistant Professor-Practice in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic academic oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training program and contribute to the mission of the larger Division and College via pursuit of excellence in teaching, research, and service. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to create an environment that promotes collegiality, collaboration, and diversity among members of various educational, research, and service-related communities. A willingness to serve as a role model and advocate for the ideals of professionalism and high ethical standards in a health science educational setting is essential. Salary, academic rank, and startup package are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Sponsorship is available for international candidates that meet the required qualifications. The Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology accommodates approximately 7000 patient visits per year. The OMS faculty provide full-scope OMS surgical and office-based anesthesia procedures to the College of Dentistry and larger central Ohio community. Additionally, the faculty have admitting and operating privileges at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital, both level one trauma facilities and tertiary care centers for Ohio where they provide facial trauma and odontogenic infection call services 365 days a year. Requirements

DDS, DMD, or international equivalent degree
Training certificate from a CODA accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery training program
Eligibility for a regular (unlimited) dental license by the Ohio State Dental Board
Board-eligibility or board-certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
