The Department of Physics & Astronomy at Carthage College invites applications for a renewable contract assistant professor position starting in 2026. Primary responsibilities involve teaching lectures and labs of a full-year sequence in introductory algebra-based physics, that primarily serves students pursuing careers in health care. The expected teaching load for this position is 32 contact hours, which would take the form of 2 lectures and 2 labs in fall term, 2 lectures and 3 labs in spring term plus 1 course in January term or in the summer term.
