The University of Dayton’s School of Education and Health Sciences invites applications and nominations for a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. This will be a 12-month, tenure-track faculty appointment. The successful candidate will be a physical therapist with an academic doctorate (PhD preferred) in a field with relevance to physical therapy, with the ability to teach basic and clinical sciences. Position responsibilities will include teaching within the highly collaborative Doctor of Physical Therapy program, scholarly activity (e.g., national conference presentations, manuscript publications) within area of expertise at a level consistent with Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) expectations and the university as related to tenure track appointment, and service at the program, department, school, university, community and profession levels. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the existing department faculty in curricular development, innovative teaching strategies, course delivery and student advisement.
