The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at Louisiana State University is searching for an Assistant Professor of Veterinary Practice Skills. The incumbent of this position will teach laboratory sessions in clinical and surgical skills, and communication skills. Assistant Professor of Veterinary Practice Skills- Clinical Track 70%-Provide and supervise veterinary students in pre-operative and post-operative care of live animals. Instruct in clinical and surgical skills laboratories across years 1-4 in the DVM program. 15%-Instruct in professional development and communication skills labs across years 1-4 in the DVM program. 10%-Develop and administer objective structured clinical skills examinations (OSCEs). 5%-Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • DVM degree or equivalent
  • Three years of veterinary clinical practice experience, including surgery.
