About the position
The Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication at Arkansas State University is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position responsible for teaching graduate courses in strategic communication and related areas. The role involves engaging in service activities within the department and contributing to the online Master of Science in Strategic Communication degree program. The position is located in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and offers the opportunity for remote work from anywhere in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate courses in strategic communication and related areas.
- Deliver core courses for the online Master of Science in Strategic Communication degree program, including Communication Law and Policy, Audience Market Analysis, Seminar in Strategic Communication, and Strategic Communication Management Capstone.
- Teach communication electives such as Social Media and Crisis Communication.
- Engage in strategic communication service activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Communication or a closely related field.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of computers and software applications preferred but not required.
- Ability to teach Seminar in Strategic Communication, Integrated Marketing, and Advertising and Account Management is preferred but not required.
