About the position
The Department of Communication at Arkansas State University is seeking a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication. This position involves teaching graduate courses in strategic communication, contributing to the online Master of Science in Strategic Communication degree program, and engaging in service activities related to the field.
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate courses in strategic communication and related areas.
- Deliver core courses for the online Master of Science in Strategic Communication degree program, including Communication Law and Policy, Audience Market Analysis, Seminar in Strategic Communication, and Strategic Communication Management Capstone.
- Teach communication electives such as Social Media and Crisis Communication.
- Engage in strategic communication service activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Communication or closely related field.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of computers and software applications preferred but not required.
- Ability to teach Seminar in Strategic Communication, Integrated Marketing, and Advertising and Account Management is preferred but not required.
