Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Public Administration in the School of Government and International Affairs with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Public Administration
  • Teaching courses of variable size and modalities, including large class sizes
  • Service to department, college, University, and profession
  • Maintaining a steady research and publication agenda on one or more of the following areas: cybersecurity, homeland security, national security policy, and emergency management
  • A Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Public Administration or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.
  • Experience teaching in-person, on-line or hybrid courses
  • Evidence of or potential for scholarly activities pertaining to one or more of the following areas: cybersecurity, homeland security, national security policy, or emergency management
  • Record of past teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level
  • Likelihood of obtaining extramural funding
  • Ability to teach one or more of the following areas: organization theory, human resource management, public policy analysis/program evaluation, or state and local governance and administration.
